Join us for NERHA's Rural Health Student Summit on Saturday, September 6th, 2025, at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm.
Start your day with a networking session and a light breakfast with refreshments! Our kickoff event will follow this, featuring a panel discussion which will shed light on the nuances of working in rural communities and explore the vital role of interprofessional collaboration, as well as the transition from an urban/suburban education to practicing rural healthcare.
After this panel discussion, you will have the opportunity to delve into informative sessions covering crucial topics such as:
General Surgery
Reproductive and Maternal Health
Loan Repayment Strategies
Motivational Interviewing
The Role of Quality Improvement
Navigating Identity and Community Dynamics in Rural Settings (such as Migrant Health and Vaccine Hesitancy)
The compelling reasons behind choosing to live and work in rural communities
After lunch, join us for skill development workshops on NARCAN administration and more. Finally, we will wrap up the Student Summit with an optional group outdoor activity.
